In addition to his teaching duties and publishing endeavors, Dr. Miller was a frequent guest speaker at various institutions. Within this series are notes, correspondence and travel information regarding each of these speaking engagements. In 2005, Dr. Miller participated in a nationwide speaking tour for the US Forest Service. There are many files pertaining to this tour, USDA Forest Service Road Tour.

Dr. Miller frequently wrote articles, essays and reviews for many magazines and newspapers, including local San Antonio publications as well as professional journals. Additionally, Dr. Miller kept meticulous files of his manuscript drafts as well as research. Finally, there are copies of some of the publications to which Dr. Miller contributed and wrote personally.

The majority of the correspondence in Dr. Miller’s records is personal communication with friends and family from 1970-1980s. Dr. Miller also retained correspondence from his tenure at Trinity University with his colleagues and students. The final grouping of correspondence is related to Dr. Miller’s professional endeavors, particularly his contribution to academic publications as well as articles and reviews written for magazines and newspapers.

The personal papers of Frank L. Miller III include correspondence and memorabilia from his time at the Tome School and serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force at Kelly Air Field, San Antonio from 1942-1946.
