This collection consists of material from Susan Russell Marcus representing her involvement with the Learning About Learning Foundation, the creation of the New World Kids summer arts camp at the Aldrich Contemporary Arts Museum, the New World Kids book series, and interview footage of Paul Baker, as well as other projects she contributed to.
Collection of exhibition catalogues assembled by William Spurlock, representing work from his time as Director of University Art Galleries at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and Curator of Exhibitions and Contemporary Art at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art in California. All of the catalogues are signed by Spurlock, and inscribed to Trinity University.
Sans titreTypescript manuscript of Jesse Sumpter's memoir, as dictated to Harry Warren. The memoir describes Sumpter's experiences in the Mexican War, and as one of the first settlers of Eagle Pass, Texas. Warren was an amateur historian, and deposited copies of the manuscript at several libraries, including the University of Texas in Austin. The memoir was edited and annotated by Ben E. Pingenot for the Encino Press in 1969, and published under the title "Paso Del Aguila: a Chronicle of Frontier Days on the Texas Border."

Sans titreThis collection consists of planning documentation, proceedings, and recordings of the two Earl M. Lewis Symposium on Urban Affairs held at Trinity University in 2004 and 2005. The symposiums were planned and carried out by the Director of the Urban Affairs program, Char Miller, with the assistance of Trinity University trustee and alum Walter Huntley. The first symposium was titled The City: Past, Present and Future which focused on San Antonio. The second symposium was titled A Tale of Two Cities: Atlanta and San Antonio. The symposium was named in honor of Earl M. Lewis, Professor Emeritus at Trinity. Lewis was the founding director of the graduate program in 1968. He was appointed George W. Brackenridge Distinguished Professor of Urban Studies in 1982. Lewis retired from Trinity University in 1990.

This finding aid describes the non-book materials in the collection that are not listed in the library catalog.
Sans titreThe Fay Sinkin Collection contains records relating to the activities of the Aquifer Protection Association (APA) during the 1970’s. Formed in 1974 by Fay Sinkin at the request of the San Antonio League of Women Voters, the APA drew public attention to the aquifer and developed support for the purchase of sensitive areas in the aquifer recharge zone. The APA was instrumental in promoting both short and long range policies and planning, particularly in regard to zoning, that focused on aquifer protection as the City of San Antonio rapidly grew northward.
